Conference and Pre-Conference Workshop "INDustrial TECHnologies 2018"

The conference "INDustrial TECHnologies - Innovative industries for smart growth" will give stakeholders from industry, academia and policy the opportunity to discuss the future of EU industry and EU research and  innovation activities. It will combine keynote presentations, talks, a matchmaking event and exhibitions.

In the run-up to the conference, the workshop "How Will Biology Influence Future Technologies?", which focuses on the use of bio-principles and biological materials for technical applications, will take place. Participation in this event offers the opportunity to actively contribute in finding a topic for the upcoming framework programme "Horizon Europe". Registration for the workshop is possible until the 8 October.

International Conference "Creative Impact"

Organizer: Innitiative Culture and Creative Industries of the German Federal Government

The International Conference 2018 is entitled "Creative Impact: The Matrix between Innovation and Creativity". Thematically, the event focuses on value-adding processes in the cultural and creative industries in Europe and beyond.

The ways in which the approaches and value-adding processes of cultural and creative industries offer potential for reshaping other sectors as well as society and politics are specified during the conference by three questions:

"What if?"
"What for?"
"So what?"

On the basis of top-class international impulses that expound the global perspectives and promote approaches in the field of creative economies, different starting points are worked out. It will be explored how these points of departure can be used for enhanced policy-making to strengthen cultural and creative industries in Germany.

The International Conference is organized by the Competence Center Cultural and Creative Industries of the German Federal Government in cooperation with its research partner, the Research Venture CreativeEconomies.
