Brokerage Events Horizon 2020

The main purpose of brokerage events (synonymous: matching events/partnering events) is to find project partners from industrial enterprises or from academia for a prospective consortium. Brokerage events are organised in a sectoral, thematic or call specific manner and run parralel with conferences or seminars. Organizers are the EU Commission or interest groups in Brussels, for example ERRIN, the European Regions Research and Innovation Network. A frequent format in which brokerage events are organised is the presentation of calls by a representative of the European Commission. An original consortium is then presented to partners who are looking for specific expertise.

Researchers thus have the opportunity to found partnerships across Europe and to demonstrate their expertise in EU research. The main target, however, is for a prospective coordinator to present his or her project concept in order to find prospective partners. For further information please contact the EU officers responsible for your institution.

Currently, the following brokerage events are advertised:

77th BioCon Valley meeting: Promotion of research and SMEs - support from federal, state and EU level: building a bridge between science and industry with collaborative research

Answers to these questions will be given at the 77th BioCon Valley Meeting, organized in cooperation with the Enterprise Europe Network Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. There will be two experts from the National Contact Points for the respective EU Horizon 2020 programme as well as other representatives of the federal and state authorities and a first overview of programmes such as the Verbundforschungsförderung Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the Zentrale Innovationsprogramm Mittelstand (ZIM) and the topic-specific programmes under Horizon 2020 will be introduced. Subsequently, specific questions are answered at the respective theme tables.

Please register for this event and tell us your focus topics in the  registration form's "Comments" field as well as whether  you are interested in an individual consultation on one of the funding programmes.

Matchmaking Conference Electromobility 2018

Field: Energy
Dates: 12-13 November 2018
Location: Berlin
Organizer: Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy (BMWi)

Electromobility is on the rise worldwide. It is a future core element of new sustainable mobility and an important chapter in the process of energy transition. The challenges for all affected industries are enormous: technical progress is rapid and involves extremely short innovation cycles. Traditional value chains are disruptively transformed. User acceptance must be improved - in favor of clean air in cities and villages. The effects of economic policies of crucial partner countries and new, serious international competitors, however, make structural change in the automotive industry even more difficult.

Discuss with other stakeholders the implications of these processes  for the industrial location of Germany and cooperation within the EU as well as with international partners.

The "Networking Conference Electromobility 2018" offers German and international stakeholders from industry, research and politics a forum for networking, exchange of expertise and the initiation of cross-border cooperation. Top-class keynote speeches, podium discussions and expert forums as well as an exhibition of exhibits from research and development offer a context for comprehensive networking opportunities.

The "Electromobility Conference 2018" takes place
at the hotel "andel's by Vienna House Berlin"
Landsberger Allee 106, 10369 Berlin.
The event starts at 12:30
