Global Bioeconomy Summit 2020 (16-20 November 2020)

The 3rd edition of the Global Bioeconomy Summit will take place virtually from 16 to 20 November 2020 and is supported by the German Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

The first conference held was in Berlin in 2015 and was initiated by the Bioeconomy Council of the Federal German Government and considers itself as an important international platform for debate involving policy makers, representatives from the research and innovation sector as well as the civil society. It aims at linking debates about bioeconomy, sustainable development and climate policies.

The GBS is supported by the International Advisory Council on Global Bioeconmy (IAC), a group of international experts, and provides policy recommendations, reports on the current state of bioeconomic agendas around the worlds, presents innovations of products and flagship projects as well as figures as important forum for exchange and debate.
This year’s programme offers workshops on the following topics: Policy & Society, Science & Innovation, Regional Bioeconomy and Industry & Business. Furthermore, several plenary sessions will be held.
