The EU Academic Network Saxony-Anhalt is networked closely with the EU Cooperation Centre of the scientific organizations (KoWi) and the EU Office of the BMBF and the National Contact Points (NKS). Here you will find information on current events organized by our cooperation partners.


KoWi Seminar: EU Compact I, November 18 to 20, 2025

The European Liaison Office of the German Research Organisations (KoWi) in Bonn is once again hosting the first part of the EU Compact seminar series on European research funding. The EU Compact I seminar is particularly designed for newcomers to the field of EU funding consulting and project management. The program provides a basic overview of the structure and functioning of the Horizon Europe research framework program.

The agenda includes presentations on the political background of the framework program and key funding instruments, as well as contributions on project administration and many practical elements. In addition, external subject matter experts complete the program. The aim is also to promote networking, both among participants and with KoWi employees. A mandatory prerequisite for participation is affiliation with a German university, a public research institution, or an organisation that is a member of the KoWi sponsoring association. The expected participation fee is 150 €.

EP PerMed and ICPerMed joint Conference on personalized medicine, November 26–27, 2025

ICPerMed and EP PerMed invite you to their first joint conference, taking place on 26–27 November 2025 in Prague, Czech Republic. The event will bring together international experts from research, policy, healthcare, and industry to discuss current developments, achievements, and future strategies in personalised medicine.

The conference will mark the 10th anniversary of the Council Conclusions on personalised medicine for patients and the first Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) on Personalised Medicine (2015), highlight progress made through international collaboration, and explore the integration of personalised approaches into clinical practice. The programme will be structured into three thematic sessions showcasing the past decade’s achievements, presenting global partnerships, and addressing challenges for implementation in healthcare systems.

Save the date: European Forum for Electronic Components and Systems (EFECS) December 3, 2025

The European Forum for Electronic Components and Systems (EFECS) 2025 will take place on December 3–4, 2025 at the Hilton Hotel in St. Julian’s, Malta. The forum is organised by Aeneas, EPoSS, and Inside, representing the private side of the Chips Joint Undertaking (Chips JU).

Under the theme “Accelerate Innovation: Building European Competitiveness”, this year’s edition will focus on supply chain security, sustainability, and new market opportunities – all within the context of Europe’s strategic ambition for technological sovereignty. The event will serve as a platform for industry, research, and policy stakeholders to exchange ideas and develop joint strategies to strengthen Europe’s competitiveness.
