On 7 November, a group of bioeconomy organisations are putting on a one-day event of intense cross-border matchmaking and networking in Brussels. The aim is to create new partnerships and to further the development of innovative, cross-border and cross-sectoral industrial value chains in the bio-based economy.

The Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) invites to the technology discussion "New materials and manufacturing technologies for lightweight construction"  in Stuttgart on 8 November 2018.

The aim of the technology discussion is to provide an overview of current challenges, research efforts and future trends in the field of lightweight construction. Keynote speeches provide an insight into innovative approaches and provide impulses for the subsequent discussion with experts from science and industry.

Participation in the event is free. Due to the direct proximity to Composites Europe, it is possible to link the event with a trade fair visit.

Financing Green and Circular Economy Business: opportunities under the EU LIFE Programme

Launched by the EU in 1992, the LIFE Funding Program has supported 4,500 environmental, natural and climate change projects so far.

The conference will present the LIFE programme and its funding opportunities. It will also show how the EU-LIFE programme can support business and environmental initiatives concerned with circular economy and environmental solutions.

Net4Society: Info Day, Brokerage Event and Proposal Check

On 8 November 2018, a free international information event will take place in Warsaw together with a brokerage event on the 6th Horizon 2020 Societal Challenge "Europe in a Changing World: Integrative, Innovative and Reflective Societies". The focus is on 2019 calls.

Due to a high expected interest, participation is limited to two persons per institution/organization.

On 9 November 2018, Net4Society offers a proposal check for applications in the 6th Societal Challenge of Horizon 2020 with the submission deadline of 14 March 2019. Registration for participation in the proposal check is possible until 12 October 2018.

Festive Event "European Research Council"

In the context of a festive event in honor of the "European Research Council",  the Leopoldina Halle welcomes Prof. Dr. med. Jean-Pierre Bourguignon, President of the European Research Council (ERC), as keynote speaker on 6 November 2018. Following Professor Bourguignon's speech, ERC-Grantees from Saxony-Anhalt will talk about their experiences in a panel discussion.

The event is aimed at scholars working in Saxony-Anhalt.
