Intellectual Property (IP)
The management of intellectual property (IP) and intellectual property regulations are seen as key to innovation and competitiveness. The "rules for participation and dissemination" for Horizon Europe (2021-2027) and Horizon 2020 (2014-2020) describe basic rules for the use and dissemination of intellectual property generated in EU projects.
Dealing with IP in different projekt phases
Horizon Europe (2021-2027)
The exploitation and dissemination of project results is of increased importance in Horizon Europe, both in the application and implementation phase and in reporting. A brief description is provided in the project application, while a complete "plan for the exploitation and dissemination of the results" must be submitted 6 months after the start of the project.
Use must also be shown at the end of the project (for example by means of a questionnaire on progress, obstacles, etc.).
If the project results have not yet been used one year after the end of the project, they must be published on the Horizon Results Platform in order to find those interested in using them.
